When does your trip begin and end?

You must take out the travel cancellation insurance up to 30 days before the departure date or by the third business day after the trip is booked at the latest.

You may only take out this insurance for a trip for which you already hold travel cancellation insurance with HanseMerkur Reiseversicherung.

Who is travelling?
When do I select family?

A family is deemed to be a maximum of two adults with at least one travelling child (irrespective of the family relationship and place of residence) under the age of 21 (up to 21st birthday), up to a total of seven children.

Please note: The family rates do not apply to two adults without children.

Description:
This rate is less expensive and can be selected if only one lease property is to be insured (excluding the journey there).
For example:
  • Holiday Apartment/Home
  • Mobile Home/Caravan
  • Hired Car
  • Houseboat
  • Ferry Crossing(s)
  • Motorail Train

Please note that
as soon as a property is booked in combination with another type of service, e.g. a flight, the type of journey must be selected accordingly.
