The annual travel cancellation insurance applies to all trips within one year that you have booked after taking out the insurance. Insurance cover is provided for trips that have already been booked, provided that this insurance is taken out no later than 30 days before the start of the trip. If there are fewer than 30 days between the booking of the trip and the start of the trip, the annual travel cancellation insurance must be taken out no later than the 3rd working day after the booking of the trip. The insurance cover begins as soon as you have paid the insurance premium.

The price of this insurance depends on age (up to 64 or over 65 years of age). The entry age when the policy begins is decisive for the calculation.

A family is deemed to be a maximum of 2 adults with up to 7 children (irrespective of the family relationship and place of residence) up to their 21st birthday.
For family members travelling alone, the sum insured is 50% of the agreed family insurance amount.

Please note: Two adults can also take out the family rate together.

Opt for the low-cost family rate if you are resident in Germany and are

• one or two adults with a child or children (under 21 years of age),
• or are two adults

The following applies to the travel cancellation insurance: If a family member travels alone, the sum insured is 50% of the agreed family insurance rate.

Please give the price of your most expensive trip. If you give a lower price here, a trip with a higher travel price will only be proportionately insured up to the price given by you.
